Hari ni hari kedua puasa. Esok dah masuk hari ketiga.

Terlupa pulak aku nak ucapkan Selamat Berpuasa pada semua.

Semoga semua menjalani ibadah ini dengan penuh kesabaran and moga dilimpahi segala rahmat dan keberkatan daripadaNya, Insya Allah.

Tiba-tiba pegi Genting

Sunday. Yesterday. We were at Lutfi's place, just got back from our Adidas Run in Shah Alam. I was in front of Lutfi's computer registering for the Standard Chartered International Singapore Run, when my phone went off.

YT: Jom pegi Genting.
Aku: Genting? Now? Kitorang baru habis run ok. Motif nak gi Genting?
YT: Saja je la. I dah ada driver yg sanggup nak drive keta I.
Aku: Sapa?
YT: Ivan.
Aku: Sapa lagi nak gi ni?
YT: I dgn Ivan dgn korang la. Sapa ada kat sana?
Aku: Lut dgn Fei. Marul nak kena balik. Jap I tanya Lut. Lut, kau nak gi tak Genting?
Lut: Aku ok je as long as I don't have to drive (statement diva).
Aku: Ok la, so mcmana ni?
YT: Kitorang ambik korang la. Dah on the way ni.
Aku: Ok la. See you guys.

The planning was impromptu and everyone agreed in less than 5 minutes. Crazy. And so we went. Gila betul. But it was fun, walaupun kaki Aku, Lut and Fei still sakit from the run (Aku dgn Fei mcm org cacat everytime turun naik tangga and Lut pulak jalan terkangkang mcm baru kena [I leave it to you guys to fill in this blank ya....he he he])

Trivia (or the useless facts):

1. Coklat yang teramat sedap yg kitorang sebat dalam keta and masa kat Coffee Bean tu Ivan beli kat Stockholm. Yang penting nama dia 'NOT CHOKLAD'.

2. Fei akhirnya dapat beli bag utk netbook dia. Puas cari kat KL takde kat atas bukit jugak dia jumpa.

3. YT nampak mcm org Myanmar bila dia pakai cap....he he he

4. Sebelum bertolak ke Genting, kitorang lunch kat Nasi Ayam Mancongkam kat Gombak. Fei, Aku & Lutfi had double servings of rice and chicken setiap seorang ye.

5. Lutfi buang air besar dua kali kat Genting. YT sekali je.

6. Ivan tak reti nak keluarkan keta YT dr parking lot masa nak balik. YT had to finish the job, but not in the manner where Aku and Fei thought it should be....he he he

7. Aku pening jadi passenger duduk belakang. Makanya aku habiskan asam satu paket mengalahkan pompuan mengandung.

8. Kitorang kena tahan polis sebab Ivan bawak laju masa on the way nak gi lunch. Nasib baik lepas. Thanks to Ivan for working his charm over the Pakcik Polis.

9. Kitorang nyanyi kuat kuat dalam gondola cable car on the way up. We shared the gondola with this one pakcik cina yang tua. Mesti masa kitorang nyanyi tu pakcik tu rasa nak terjun ke bawah.

10. Masa aku post entry ni, kaki aku still sakit lagi from yesterday's run.

Atilia & Noryn....Oh WOW!

I was not a big fan of Atilia and Noryn. I have listened to their music before but that was just it until last night.

Both of them sang at this small concert entitled 'Malam Nada Biru' held at the Lambang Sari, Istana Budaya.

The size of Lambang Sari is not that big, hence it gave the audience a cool and comfortable ambience. A venue that is audibly and visually intimate for everyone, just the best place for last nite's performances.

What can I say, I was mesmerised the second Atilia opened up the first set of the show with her first song. Tak silap aku, she sang around six to seven numbers, and my personal favourites would be her rendition of Leka (taken from the P. Ramlee musical) and Indah, the title track of her forthcoming album with the same name.

Atilia's vocals: Crisp and husky. And she sings effortlessly.

Atilia gave way to Noryn for her to take the stage for the second set and as expected, she wowed the audience with her set of songs that highlighted her powerful vocals. Her low tones were so soothing and there were no pithcy moments when she did those high vocal acrobats! Again, I enjoyed myself watching another great talent performing.

Noryn's vocals: Big and sultry. Kalau dia tarik tinggi sikit lagi suara dia malam tadi, Zach would have gone into a coma sebab terlalu kagum....he he he....

The show was ended with the two songbirds singing their songs together.

No better finale for the night.

There'll be more concerts coming up in the 'Malam Nada Biru' series. I am so gonna keep myself updated for this.

*** Oh, and I finally got to meet Atilia's Manager i.e. Mr Fizar Harun. We have been communicating through Facebook. I didn't actually recognize him in the crowd. Lucky he tegur me first. Mr Fizar, a great show. Congratulations!

Let's Go Cycling!

I can't really remember when was the last time I actually rode a bicycle. Seriously. 10 years ago maybe?

Today I bought myself Mr Fuji, my new bicycle. Me and my firm's partners, Shahrin & Bad decided that we go cycling every Thursday.

Today after work, I picked up Mr Fuji from the bicycle shop and then headed straight to the Kepong Metropolitan Park with Shahrin & Bad, for our first cycling outing together.

And after such a long time, it was really fun riding again!

I managed to do four complete rounds. I wanted to do more but it was already getting dark. Mr Fuji, you were fast!

Mr Moby

This is my new companion. It arrived a couple of weeks ago. I call him Mr Moby.

Oh ya, Mr Moby was with me during my vacation to Jakarta and Bandung recently. Thanks to him I was able to keep in touch with my friends and keep up with the latest Malaysian news throughout my trip.

Mr Moby, I will upgrade your RAM soon ya.

My First MANicure (The Girlish Entry)

These two pics are showing my ugly and hairy hands being worked on by two lovely Chinese ladies.

Yes, I went for a manicure last two weeks. My first time ever getting a pampering the girlish way, but at the end of it, I told myself that the whole experience wasn't that bad after all!

Well, what's so wrong with guys with really clean and well manicured nails huh?

Scraping and cutting the dry cuticle. Gosh, never realized that my hands are that hairy.

Buffing the nails. The girl who did my left hand was quite pretty (Yes, a different girl was doing my right hand. Now, that's what I really call pampering). She reminded me of Intan Sarafina, the singer.

**Lut, bila kita nak try Nail Chicspa by Soong Ai Ling? If one of us is lucky, we'll get Miss Ai Ling herself to do our hands, like what we saw the other day.

Ms Soong Ai Ling, the famous Malaysian model turned businesswoman, and here's her gorgeous nail spa....

** I am so gonna get my nails done again in Jakarta this weekend and yes, this is my sissiest entry so far....ha ha ha!

Siemens Run

19.7.09. Aku mmg tak puas hati langsung untuk run kali ni. Ni la padahnya kalau masuk run tapi takde training. Main belasah je. I ended up stopping twice during the run. Pancit. The route was very similar to the New Balance Pacesetter 15 Km run. Banyak gila panjat bukit. I was targeting to finish the run bawah satu jam but clearly I didn't manage to achieve it. If only I didn't stop during the run.

Aku & Lut after the run. I had to buy the Nike vest on the eleventh hour when I realized that the tee I got was XXL in size. Gile nak pakai tee sebesar tu. Nanti org ingt aku pakai jubah pulak.

***Tempat pertama sampai ke 10 Men's Open semuanya kena rembat dengan puak2 Kenya yang kaki panjang macam galah tapi kurus mcm lidi. Stamina diorang jgn cakap la kan. I wonder how they train to get that kind of stamina. But then again, they are doing it professionally. Aku? Sekadar nak mengisi masa dgn aktiviti yang mendatangkan faedah dan kebaikan....he he he

Aida's Birthday

11 July 2009 (Sat) - It was Aida's birthday. Yg ke berapa pun aku tak tahu and aku pun terlupa nak tanya. Yg keberapa ek Aida? Ke rahsia? He he he he....

All of us went to Aida's house in Kajang for a small celebration and get together, at the same time visiting Aida's baby. She's so cute!

Lily Nerisa Omar Nizar celebrating her mommy's birthday that evening. Such a good girl she was, behaving really well, cuma melalak kalau org letak dia. She loves to be held.

Omar: Mmmm, sedap kek ni. Sapa beli?

New York, New York Deli

Dinner last Thursday nite with YT, Fei and Ivan at this place called New York, New York Deli in 1 Utama. The food was ok, walaupun YT kata the pizza he ordered tasted not so good.

YT gobbling up his pizza walaupun komplen kata pizza tu tak sedap (and never offered us to have a taste also).

Fei could never be happier with his order. Senyap je dia makan. Tau tau dah licin.

Me with my burger and fries. Not so bad but there are more delicious burgers elsewhere, like the ones this Abang sells in front of the 7-Eleven in Jalan Kolam Ayer Lama in Ampang Jaya (next to the SPCA). Our famous songbird, Camelia, gets her burgers there too ok.

Dinner with Neo The Diving Instructor

Our diving instructor friend Neo came to visit us again. He was here for a few days attending the diving expo thingy in PWTC. So we had dinner together last Sunday.
