You Had Me At 'Hello'

A simple hello you had me at
It was as quickly as that
Time passed and I knew your name
It started out as a spark and then to a flame
We laughed and talked too much
But you had me by just a touch
It was a time I was at least bright
Although i knew something wasn't right
And I'm sorry my friend
But all good things much come to an end
I faded out and so did you
For our lives were different, if only we knew
Not a day goes by I think of your smile
And along to stay for just awhile
For all I know
I still don't want to let go
At least I'll still have 'hello'
