Musni, Khairil, Zaidi & Yoda. Dah lama kami berkawan. Sejak dari Form 1. That takes us back way to the year 1988. We were the best of friends then. We still are but as time passes by, a lot of changes have been happening in our lives.
Khairil is happily married with a son and a daughter and told us that he's running his own business.
Yoda is also a married guy with two lovely daughters and his wife Fiza is now pregnant again with their third daughter! Murahnya rezeki. Yoda is now in the middle of doing his PhD in the UK and will only finish sometime in 2011.
Musni is now working in Petronas doing legal. There was this one time I heard he got married but I know that wasn't true, cuz I was sure he would never, in a million years, forget to invite us to his big day (berani dia nak lupa....cuba try tengok....). So, last night we heard it from the horse's mouth, he's still single, like I am.
Yoda is in KL right now until the end of June, doing his research. So we took the chance to meet up.
We had a nice dinner together and caught up on everyone's latest updates. We chatted and laughed, especially over the funny memories of the good old days when we were still schooling; how I and Musni bullied the then small-sized Zul until the matter was brought before the Principal where we had to explain and apologize to Yoda's parent. Ceh!
Funny enough, that started the friendship between us. Khairil has always been the jovial and the mischievous one, always having something up his sleeves. Yang bermasalah disiplin selalu pun dia la orangnya....he he he. But somehow or rather, we clicked well and the friendship continues until this very day.
At one point last night, it really touched my heart to see Yoda, upon his arrival, extended his arms and offered each one of us a hug. To me, that gesture, though very subtle, showed us how much he has been missing us and how we have been missing him too, for that matter.
Well, like I said, times have changed, and we are all aware that we don't see each other or get to hang around together as much as we want anymore, but we know that these familiar faces will always be here in our hearts. A 21-year old and still ongoing friendship doesn't go just like that, right guys?
To Khairil and Zul, I wish you guys all the best in all your future undertakings. Have more kids, so that me and Musni might get the chance to adopt one or two, if we have to....he he
To Musni, please let me know if you're going to settle down cuz that's when I will know my dateline's nearing too! Well, you have a younger sister who's still single and Zul too has one who's also still single, so I won't worry so much. Guys, just thinking of the worst case scenario if you know what I mean....he he he. And I am so sorry Musni, I only have brothers....
Let's keep in touch no matter what ya. I wanna see your faces when we are old.
Oh ya, my regards to your families guys.
And Musni, THANKS SO MUCH FOR SETTLING THE BILL FOR US LAST NIGHT.
Eh, lupa pulak. Irwan also came malam tadi. He was our junior masa sekolah dulu. So, when he heard that we were meeting up, he wanted to join.

This is Irwan in his car on the way to our dinner place. This picture was taken when he was on the verge of losing his sanity due to the really bad traffic yesterday evening.
